Prayer to Our Guardian Angel
O Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God’s love commits me here,
ever this day, be at my side, to light and guard,
to rule and guide.
Lord, I think you for this new day.
I know that you love me, you look at me at this moment
and want this day to be a brand new beginning with a
‘future full of hope’. Whatever I have to face today, one thing
I know is that you will be there with me as my best friend,
helping, consoling, strengthening, healing and guiding me.
Grace Before Meals
Bless us, God, as we sit together,
Bless the food we eat today.
Bless the hands that made the food,
and help us, God, to be kind like you.
Grace After Meals
Thank you, God, for the food we have eaten,
Thank you, God, for all our friends.
Thank you, God, for everything.
Thank you God.
To End the Day
God our Father, I come to say thank you for your love today.
Thank you for my family and all the friends you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night and in the morning send your light.
May the Lord support us all the day long till the shades lengthen
and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the
fever of life is over and our work is done. Then, in His mercy,
may He give us a safe lodging and a holy rest and peace at the last.
Be near me Lord Jesus, I ask you to stay close by me forever
and love me, I pray. Bless all of us children in your loving care.
And bring us to heaven to live with you there.
God’s Love and Our Concern
Lord, we remember all our brothers and sisters who are weighed down with suffering. Bless and guide us that you love may be reflected in our
concern for the hungry, the oppressed, and the unloved. Help us to
acknowledge and grow in appreciation that all people are made in your
image and likeness.
Lord, you went to lonely places to pray. In my busy days of noise and action,
remind me of my need for time alone and for peace and quiet and silence within. Be with me now as I pause for a few moments in quietness.
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Prayer for Healing
Lord Jesus, we ask you to bring your healing touch to those whom
we know to be sick, afraid or worried.
Bring them your peace and healing.
To Do Your Will
Lord, make me a better person, more considerate towards others,
more honest with myself, more faithful to you. Make me generous
enough to want sincerely to do your will whatever it may be.
Help me to find my true vocation in life, and grant that through it,
I may find happiness myself and bring happiness to others.
